Morning Thoughts
The sun peaks over the horizon
Its touch casts out the darkness
Its warmth brings life to the world
The wheels of the day are set in motion
A summer breeze brushes the trees
It’s caress gives legs to the leaves
Allowing them to dance carelessly
The peace of early morning is immaculate
Late summer blossoms decorate the landscape
Their hues of pink and purple fill the air with joy
The sweet smell of dawn surrounds me
The scene uplifts the soul and eases burdens
Nature’s beauty is medicinal
Its powers rejuvenate the weary and redeem the forsaken
With this new energy a renaissance takes flight
Potential is once again limitless
